Fun Fact: Juana is part of an old line of Cuban witches that have slowly lost power over centuries of colonization. Her and her mother keep the old traditions alive, but its hard when there’s just two of them and her mom is pretty close to giving up on the whole endeavor.

Likes: Sewing, reading, general mischief.

Dislikes: Being told how to dress, being told what language to speak, being told how loud to speak, being told to smile, being told to be nicer. Herself.

Fun Fact: Adam has recently begun to feel Emotions. He is exhausted by them. But the kind of exhaustion that the water feels after a while of crashing into the shore. Juana has informed Adam she thinks that might be a good thing. She calls it “beach-tired”.

Likes: The rain. The taste of new life taking root in the soil. The taste of old life decomposing in it. Naming “likes” are new development for Adam, but Juana (who’s presence he more than likes) wanted to know.

Dislikes: Whatever is killing the ley line. Whatever upsets Juana (this is also a new development.)
